We were prompted to write this note because of frequent questions from visitors to our store - they asked about a repair kit for the ATC35L transfer case. Let's start with the facts. ATC35L consists of 68 elements. You can ensure this by looking at the diagram. There are slightly more spare parts in the list, but this is because some spare parts are included in one or more sets. For example, friction and steel plates are not sold separately but are only available as part of a set — another illustration - is the rear flange. For example, the most common flange 27107593440, is only available in a set with adjusting washers, an O-ring, and a locking ring. |
So, out of 68 components, we have about 60 available in one form or another. Why not all? There are two reasons for this:
- 1) some components cannot yet be obtained from their original manufacturer. However, our policy is to offer exclusively authentic spare parts and not sell alternates. In other words, our rule is either the original or nothing, so sometimes it, unfortunately, is still yet nothing.
- 2) Some parts (such as the housings) are extremely rarely in demand and suggest the presence of significant damage or wear. In such a case, we consider a complete replacement of the transfer box the better solution, so we are not offering such components.
Now, to the main point. What do we don't already have for the ATC35L transfer case? ... We don't have repair kits.
Why is that? - we want to sell you only the necessary parts. We believe that ideally, you should inspect the defective transfer case, identify the items that require replacement, and then order from us exactly what you need. We can provide express delivery anywhere in the world so that repairs do not take more than a couple of days. We hope you agree that it is better to pay more for express delivery than to buy something that turns out to be entirely unnecessary for you.
However, we understand that circumstances only sometimes allow repairs to be extended over several days.
In this case, we can recommend the commonly demanded spare parts to repair the ATC35L that you can add to the shopping cart yourself. Below is a list with explanations:
- Clutch kit. If you are wondering about repairing the transfer case, then it is 99% that your car began to twitch during acceleration. A new clutch will solve this problem.
- Set of seals. Believe me, if the seals did not leak when you disassembled the transfer case, this does not mean that they will not leak after you reassemble it. We do not recommend saving on this.
- Set of bearings. Here it is—if there were extraneous sounds or you took an oil sample and found a metal suspension, they need to be changed. Otherwise, it's your choice. Please also take into account the information provided into the set's description.
- Rear flange. This is not the most reliable part of the transfer case—its internal splines often wear out. Theoretically, it can be diagnosed directly on the car.
- Drum. This depends on the mileage and loads the car has experienced. If the mileage is more than 300,000km or you often tow a heavy trailer, there will likely already be deep notches on the drum, making it difficult for the clutches to move smoothly.
- Set of oil deflectors. If you suspect the transfer case has overheated or experienced oil starvation, you will likely need this.
- Rubber mounting - check if it's time to replace it.
The need for other spare parts varies from case to case.
If you still have questions, don't hesitate to write us.
