A transfer case is more than a chain, a clutch pack and a set of bearings.
Once it is open on the workbench, a successful repair may depend on a seal, shim, retaining ring, spring, fastener or a particular revision of a component.
After more than 15 years working with these units, this is the level at which we think about our catalog.

We don't build our catalog around what sells most often. We build it around what may be needed to finish the repair.
Our range goes far beyond the major components typically replaced during a transfer case rebuild.
Chains, clutch components, bearings and gears are only part of that range. We work to cover the small components too — seals, retaining rings, shims, springs, fasteners and other individual parts that are easy to overlook until the transfer case is already apart.
Our goal is simple: a customer rebuilding a transfer case should be able to source everything needed for the job in one place.
A component doesn't have to be expensive to stop a repair.

We source our parts from the same component manufacturers that supply the transfer case industry, including manufacturers supplying companies such as Magna and BorgWarner.
We know who makes the parts we sell and where they come from.
And we apply the same sourcing standard across our catalog — not only to selected premium products.
We don't offer a cheap version, a better version and the version we would actually recommend.
We have one quality standard.
From major internal components to bearings, seals and fasteners, we source parts at the quality level we consider appropriate for a proper transfer case repair.
For us, quality starts with the source.
Sometimes the Right Recommendation Is a Smaller Order
Customers regularly ask us which repair kit or combination of parts they should buy.
We could simply recommend the most complete kit available.
Often, we don't.
When our experience with similar repairs allows it, we explain which components are commonly associated with the symptoms, what is worth inspecting and which parts are most likely to require replacement.
Sometimes that means a smaller order for us.
We're fine with that.
Our goal is a successful repair, not the largest possible sale.

When We're Not Certain, We Don't Guess
Fifteen years of specialization doesn't mean knowing every answer.
Transfer cases evolve. Designs are revised. Applications and components can differ between production years and markets.
When the information available isn't enough for us to give a confident answer, we investigate further. In individual cases, that includes requesting additional technical information from the transfer case manufacturer.
We believe knowing when to verify an answer is part of technical expertise.
We would rather verify than guess.

Our customers range from owners rebuilding their own transfer case to professional workshops repairing them regularly.

In 2019, a Rennlist member documented a step-by-step Porsche Cayenne 958 transfer case rebuild using AWD.TECH parts.
After receiving the order, he wrote positively about his experience with AWD.TECH and the apparent manufacturing quality of the components. He subsequently documented replacing the chain and clutch discs and successfully returning the vehicle to the road.
